Katalin Kápolnai is a PR communications specialist and has been responsible for managing international tenders and press relations at the Institute since September 2023. She studied cultural management at the University of Pécs, arts management at the University of Applied Arts (now MOME) and sociology at ELTE TáTK.
Her professional experience is mainly in the field of communication PR. As a project manager, she has been involved in communication campaigns for major EU and national environmental, urban development and equal opportunities projects, including at Sawyer Miller Group and Double Decker agencies, working closely with municipalities and ministries. Over the past 10 years, the civil sector has become a major focus for her, working with the Piros Orr Clown Doctors Foundation, Tünet Együttes and Art Market Budapest, arts organisations on strategic projects, fundraising, and as a grant, press and financial coordinator, she has been involved in research and analysis workshops on social, environmental and human rights issues at Tárki Zrt, Energiaklub, Tom Lantos Institute, and other organisations.
Katalin is a firm believer in the importance of civic curiosity and an enthusiastic supporter and volunteer for human rights and social organisations.
