Dávid Király is a communications expert, urban policy expert and as head of the Budapest Workshop of the Repubilikon Institute, he has been working on Budapest related topics since the early 2000s. He has worked as a journalist for Hírszerző, MTI and Hvg.hu, among others, specialising in Budapest municipal politics and urban and transport development. In 2007, he was awarded the Antal Csengery Prize of the Municipality of Budapest. In 2009-10, as a consultant of the Mayor's Office, he was involved in the communication of the capital's major investments. He co-authored the book Budapest 1990-2010 - 20 years of a free city, which covers the first two decades of post-regime Budapest. Between 2012 and 2018, he worked as editor of the public transport blog BKV-Figyelő and as a communications and political consultant.
