„Primaries before the 2022 Hungarian general elections” – a conference organized by Republikon, supported by Friedrich Naumann Stiftung für die Freiheit

At the conference, we will discuss the situation of the democratic opposition, present the advantages and the disadvantages of the primaries and show how the opposition cooperates in other countries.

In the first panel political experts will show what primaries mean and how it could increase the chance of the opposition in Hungary. We also want to discuss how a democratic primary could work and what we have learnt from the municipal elections in 2019.

In the second panel, representatives of opposition parties will debate the details of the primaries.

In the third panel we will present two interviews, what we will record and subtitle before the event. In the videos we interviewed two international experts from Poland and France who present how liberals could fight against illiberalism and populism.
